Scott is known for spaces that activate the imaginations of their users, regardless of age, background, or ability. He brings this expertise to his leadership on the schematic and conceptual design of both large public projects and small gardens. He plays a critical role in MVVA’s approach to play concepts and focuses his research on the reciprocal relationship between play in park design and social resilience. Scott serves as the director of the Denver office, overseeing design efforts and managing day-to-day operations, job development, and internship opportunities.  

Scott holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University, where he received the ASLA Honor Award. He has guest lectured at universities across the U.S. and Canada and has been an ASLA keynote speaker, as well as serving on the jury of the ASLA New York awards competition. Scott joined MVVA in 2006.
