Barbara grew interested in the systemic impacts of landscape architecture after researching her grandparents’ community garden in Poland as part of the Institute for European Studies at Cornell University. Following time abroadshe became fascinated by the micro, sensory scale of landscape design, and the ability to create collective experiences within a space. Today, she tests various methods to portray these experiences, including graphic renderings.

Barbara received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University. She was an Olmsted Scholar Finalist and a recipient of the California Homebuilding Award. Prior to joining MVVA in 2021, Barbara worked as a landscaper in Brooklyn Heights.
