Rachel Spraos
Senior Designer
Drawing on her love of horticulture, Rachel is particularly skilled at integrating design concepts and details with in-depth site analysis and research. Prior to joining MVVA, Rachel worked for Jones Valley Teaching Farm in Birmingham, Alabama where she served as a garden instructor for public elementary school students and developed a knack for collaborating with communities. Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Kenyon College and her Master of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University, where she was named a 2021 Landscape Architecture Foundation Olmsted Scholar, received the ASLA Student Merit Award, and was nominated by the University’s Department of Landscape Architecture for the Cornelia Ye Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.
