Danielle Remmer
Senior Designer
Danielle grew up on Long Island, where the Great South Bay instilled in her a love of tidal shores and the delicate ecosystems that surround them. While living in New York City as a college student she worked on overlapping projects related to urban ecology, spatial conflict, and climate adaptation, which deepened her notions of landscape as a generative force and critical medium of inquiry.

Danielle graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and minors in Environmental Studies and Spanish. She earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University, where she held three teaching assistantships for graduate design studios and was awarded the E. Gorton Davis Travel Fellowship. At Cornell she was also a Project Manager and Co-Chair of Design Connect, a student-run organization that provides planning and design services to underserved communities in upstate NY. In 2016, she co-founded Rising Tide Restoration, a dock-building company on Long Island. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the violin and piano and hiking with her dog. Danielle joined MVVA in 2020.
