Kate Jirasiritham
Kate grew up in and around Bangkok, Thailand. At age 12, she moved from her family's farm to the city, sparking an interest in the relationship between urban and natural systems. Her design work aims to balance the needs of humans and ecology within the built environment.

Kate received a Bachelor of Architecture from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Spitzer School of Architecture at City College of New York. While at City College, she received a Merit Award from the Center for Architecture Design Scholarship and a 2018 Honor Award from the ASLA New York Chapter. Her design thesis "Songs From The Ocean, Dancers From The Land: Rendering An Ecological Choreography of Coastal Habitats in Phuket, Thailand" won an Honor Award in the General Design category of the 2018 ASLA Student Awards. Before joining MVVA, she worked at LAB Landscape Architects of Bangkok and at Landscape Metrics in New York. In her spare time, she enjoys watercolor painting, photography, cycling, and hiking.

Kate joined MVVA as an intern in 2017 before joining full-time in 2018.
