Andy Wisniewski
Associate Principal
Growing up among the lakes and woods of central Ontario, Andy has always held a deep appreciation for the nuances and ephemerality of the natural environment. His keen sense of spatial scenography and sensitivity to site context have given him a unique ability to translate landscape concept and program into physical form at a variety of scales. Combining his experience in urban design, planning, and landscape architecture, Andy brings a highly comprehensive approach to place-making in all phases of the design process.

Since joining the firm, Andy has become an integral member of the MVVA design team on a wide variety of projects. He has contributed to the design, documentation, and construction administration for several Brooklyn Bridge Park projects including the Pier 5 Uplands, Pier 3, Main Street, and the Pier 2 Uplands. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the winning competition entry for redesigning the University of Toronto's historic 30-acre campus. Currently, he is one of the lead designers for the Obama Presidential Center landscape, located in Chicago's historic Jackson Park.

Andy received a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in urban planning from the University of Waterloo, where he graduated with honors. He earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design, graduating with distinction and the ASLA Commencement Award.

Andy joined MVVA in 2014.
