Brooklyn, NY (2001–2002)
Acting as a consultant for Hamilton, Rabinowitz & Alschuler (HR&A), MVVA participated in a series of public workshops intended to solicit input and develop guidelines for the development of a cultural district in the blocks immediately adjacent to the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

In conjunction with an architectural master plan that was proposed independently by the Office of Metropolitan Architecture and Diller+Scofidio, MVVA developed the open space plan and phased development program capable of transforming a series of existing parking lots and streetscapes into an arts neighborhood worthy of the arts community of Brooklyn. This proposal is intended to benefit both the BAM Cultural District and the many Brooklyn neighborhoods that meet at this urban intersection.
