Matthew contributes his expertise in urban landscape restoration, storm-water management, site design, schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration to the MVVA design process. He has worked on numerous projects including managing the construction administration of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden South Garden Projects, leading the design documentation of the Seaside Park and Community Arts Center on Coney Island, the construction administration for North Grant Park in Chicago and the design and documentation for all phases of the Menil Project in Houston, TX.
He has previously worked as certified Playground Safety Inspector, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with a minor in Architectural History from Penn State University. He was awarded the Veronica Burns Lucas Travel Scholarship and studied sustainable design in Germany. He continues to enjoy traveling and analyzing the differences in the implementation of landscape architecture across varied cultures.
