Chris is innately adept at working with natural materials, and in addition to being a Associate Principal at MVVA, he is a talented wood furniture designer and builder. Chris’ influence and direction has spanned the scales of MVVA projects. He is the designer and Project Manager for the Notre Dame Sculpture Park in South Bend, IN, the Project Manager for the “Gathering Place” project, a 90 acre riverfront park in Tulsa, OK, and Project Manager for the Vassar College Campus Master Plan, which included the development of stormwater treatment systems and the restoration of degraded wetland habitat. Chris has guided the design and construction of many campuses, parks, and residential gardens throughout the northeast, including Bailey Plaza at Cornell University, Segment 5 of Hudson River Park, the Union Square Park North End Redevelopment, and North Grant Park in Chicago, IL.
Chris received a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design. He received his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut, where he earned the CTASLA Honor Award for design and technical coursework. Chris has been a visiting critic and lecturer at the University of Connecticut and at the Morris Arboretum at University of Pennsylvania. Chris is a licensed landscape architect in the State of New York.
Chris joined MVVA in 2005.
