Melissa Green
Senior Designer
Melissa grew up in Mt. Kisco, NY, hiking in the Adirondacks and Berkshires and observing very different spatial conditions in New York City. As an undergraduate at Skidmore College, she examined how spatial design could influence environmentally sustainable living, an interest that ultimately led her to landscape architecture.

Melissa received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science with a minor in Studio Art from Skidmore, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. At the GSD, she focused on ecologically sensitive landscapes of resilience and understanding how landscape architecture can serve communities that have been historically denied access to landscape's benefits. She also worked as a teacher’s assistant for first-year core studios and in the woodshop. Before joining MVVA, she worked in AECOM’s Transportation Demand Management department and interned at the Harvard Arnold Arboretum and PWP Landscape Architecture. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing.

Melissa joined MVVA in 2019.
