Shibani Debnath
Shibani was born and raised in New Delhi, India, where Mughal architecture and gardens taught her to appreciate the importance of views and perspectives in the urban landscape. At the same time, the modern parts of New Delhi offered her lessons on planning a dense and populous city. Her interest now centers on net-zero design and the other strategies landscape architects use to combat climate change.

Shibani is currently earning her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Studies from Iowa State University, and will graduate in May 2019. She has also studied charcoal drawing and wash painting. Prior to joining MVVA, she interned and worked for Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State. While there, she assisted the Campus Landscape Architect on a range of planning and landscape projects.

Shibani joined MVVA in 2018.
