Jing joined MVVA in 2015 as a designer. Originally from Wuhan, the capital of central China’s Hubei province, she is well acquainted with the challenges and opportunities presented by high-speed, dense development and large-scale urbanism. In her previous work, Jing has emphasized sustainable design regarding water, partly due to Wuhan’s complex relationship with the Yangtze River.
Jing received her Bachelor of Architecture from Huangzhong University of Science and Technology in 2012, followed by a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in 2014. While at Columbia, she won the 3rd Special Award in the International Federation of Landscape Architects Landscape Architecture Design Competition 2014. Before joining MVVA, Jing worked as an intern at CITIC General Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co. and at the Tianjin University Research Institute of Architectural Design and Urban Planning.
Jing also enjoys photography, and has traveled throughout the U.S. and China to photograph architecture and landscapes.
