Michalis Piroccas’s perspective on landscape architecture has been shaped by his upbringing in Cyprus. With its United Nations-controlled buffer zone, a no-man’s land that is at once abandoned and ecologically rich, the unique and emotionally-charged landscape of Cyprus has given Michalis an approach toward the landscape that draws a strong connection between site, culture, and design. Michalis is a licensed architect in Europe and has practiced with a number of firms in Greece and Cyprus.
Michalis has a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Patras. He joined MVVA in 2014.
