Edy joined MVVA in 2014 as a studio assistant. She was born and raised in Seattle, where she gained an interest in urban design and the interplay between the city's built structure and its natural environment. Edy has been an intern for New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs, the City of Poughkeepsie's Planning Department and the Dutchess County Planning Department, where she contributed to pedestrian and bicycle transportation initiatives. As a student, she worked for the Poughkeepsie Farm Project, teaching children about sustainable agriculture.
Edy earned a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College, where she studied economics, math and urban studies. She spent a semester in Copenhagen studying urban design.
