Yu‘s sensibility for landscapes has been shaped by the unique combination of art and culture of her native home, Beijing, China. Since joining MVVA, Yu has contributed to the design and construction documentation for The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis, and schematic design for the Tulsa Riverfront Park in Tulsa, OK and North Grant Park in Chicago. Prior to joining MVVA, Yu worked as an intern at AECOM Design+Planning, where she worked on large scale, comprehensive planning projects.
Yu received a Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Design from Tianjin University, in Tianjin, China. She earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
Yu joined MVVA in 2012.
